| Abstract/Contents: | States an overview of the activities of the Green Section in this its eighth year of service. The author reports progress made in combatting turf diseases. Membership information and circulation figures of the Bulletin are given, and the past year's budget is discussed in some length. The status of several experimental plots, including some specifically set up to provide information on turfgrass maintenance is briefly summarized. The importance of drainage, soil texture and proper construction are becoming more appreciated as being key factors governing the quality of a putting surface. |
