Abstract/Contents: | Discusses zonate eye-spot disease in some detail, tracing its development and appearance from its earliest visible signs to its most advanced stages. The process by which the fungus attacks the host grass is described, and the means by which the spores are transported are given. As advanced stages of this disease resemble that of brown patch, knowledge of its exact appearance and development is vital. The conditions known to promote the disease are listed, as well as grasses that are more and less susceptible to it. |
