Abstract/Contents: | Briefly summarizes the life cycle of the cutworm, and gives several possible mixtures of insecticides capable of killing them. The formluae ingredients include: Wheat bran, Paris green or crude arsenic, blackstrap molasses and water. Hard wood sawdust may be substituted for bran if bran is too costly or difficult to obtain. Optimal times for application are given, and a cautionary warning is given, as both Paris green and crude arsenic are toxic to animals. |
