| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the effect of general soil amendments on the water relations of soil. The amendments studied include: inorganic soil amendments under turf, pumice, scorea, expanded perlite, and vermiculite. "The usefulness of these numerous materials for water retention in soils is dependent largely upon the nature of their porosity. Total porosity is meaningless." Evaluates the influence of amendments on the water relations of soils. |
