Abstract/Contents:Describes a survey given to find out the most effective uses of Merion bluegrass. "The scarcity and high prices of Merion bluegrass seed make it imperative that we exert every effort to place before the consuming public sound, unified recommendations for the most efficient use of this improved turf grass. We realize the research data will not be available to substantiate every point. " Questions on survey include: Recommended rate of seeding when used alone, minimum content of Merion bluegrass in a seed mixture, suggestions for a good Merion seed mixture, suggested fertilization, best height-of-cut, watering techniques, aerifying techniques, and herbicide suggestions.
