Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the problems of thatch. Describes what it is, how it accumulates, and why it is detrimental, as well as thatch correction and prevention tips. These tips include: the necessity of organic matter, oxygen, water, heat, lime, and nitrogen. Thatch can be removed by mowing, raking, brushing and combing, aerating, and proper drainage. |
