Abstract/Contents: | The Seattle Golf Club is located on land that is a glacial moraine, with hard pan underneath. The uneven land formation required the club to lift the sod and smooth the soil underneath, removing about 90 tons of rock in the process. The club used most of the manpower from their greens crew, neglecting regular course maintenance, but saving nearly $300 per acre as a result. |
