Abstract/Contents: | Defends the advantages of non-metal spikeless golf shoes. Reasons include such advantages as less damage to turfgrass, clubhouses, golf shops, parking lots and asphalt. Reasons for increased damage to greens include the fact that greens are now clipped at a shorter height and more people are using them than in the past. Advocates such procedures as free spike replacement to alternative spikes and mandatory alternative spike rules. |
