Abstract/Contents: | Mentions the advantages of aerifying greens such as root growth stimulation, better drought resistance, more even water levels, reduced water run-off, increased water holding capacity and disease reduction. Fall was mentioned as the best time to aerify greens, however, it can be done at any time. Aeration is not known to increase weeds and no special mechanical skill is needed to operate the tools involved. |
