| Abstract/Contents: | Summarizes past published observations and studies of poa annua and discusses more recent research in light of an apparent increase in the amounts of poa annua in golf surfaces over the course of time. Various factors most ammenable to the emergence of poa annua are outlined, and some methods of control are suggested, including the use of Tifton 127 and Tifton 123 to suppress the establishment of poa annua, as well as a host of other cultural methods for control. |
