Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the process of soil sterilization to eradicate weeds on golf greens. A profile of the method used by the Gulf Stream Golf Club in Delray Beach, Florida is included. Steam was run through a boiler converted into a steam chest up through a galvanized pipe. After the soil is properly steamed, it is laid out to dry on a paved slab. After it is dried, it is stored for later use. |
