| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the experience and procedure of the Greensboro Country Club changing all of its bermudagrass greens to Tifgreen during the course of 3 1/2 months in 1957. Organized in chronological order, the process is traced from the planning and experimental stages, to the preparation of temporary greens, preparatory work done during the previous winter, the sterilization of the old greens (methyl bromide, 1.3 pounds per 100 sq. ft. of area), their covering, verticulation, topdressing, the planting of the new grass, its care, fertilization, mowing and preparation for play. |
