Abstract/Contents:"Wherever possible, therefore, those who are buying fertilizer for turf are urged to use these seed meals or activated sludge products if they are available, thus leaving as much as possible of the more readily avaiable inorganic nitrogen for purely agricultural crops. Moreover, it is urged that as little notrogen as possible be used on golf course turf, lawns, etc., for the duration of the war. In addition to contributing to the war effort, this will reduce the amount of mowing necessary, at a time when both labor and machinery are at a premium."
