Abstract/Contents:"Grass hedges can be a relatively economical means to slow runoff water and reduce soil loss. There are several factors that will influence the success of grass hedge establishment including grass selection, seed quality, seedbed preparation, planting procedures, timing, and management practices during and following establishment." Provides specifics on the above-mentioned topics and gives examples of established grass hedges successful in controlling erosion.
