Burton Musser recently retired from Pennsylvania State University and his accomplishments and thirty years of services to the furtherment of turfgrass studies are summarized and placed into perspective. Musser was among the forerunners in fields such as breeding, nitrogen studies and weed control. He is best known, however, as a trainer of turfgrass personnel during his tenure at Penn State. |
