Abstract/Contents: | Summarizes recent trends of maintenance as performed in the southeast. Among the subjects discussed are soils and soil mixtures, turfgrass selections, means of establishment, fertilization, weed and pest control as well as even more general subjects. Vegetative planting machines and the discovery of 2, 4-D are credited with significantly altering maintenance practices for the better. The trend towards more information conferences and meetings in the southeast is regarded as among the most encouraging trends. |
