Abstract/Contents: | Discusses treatments that will help prevent mat formation. These include vigorous raking and the use of topdressing. "If this can be done before hot weather comes to stay and while growing conditions are favorable for the putting green grasses, recovery from the harsh treatment will be prompt, the putting qualities of the greens will be improved, and the likelihood of severe attacks of the summer diseases materially reduced." |
