| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the strategy employed by the town of Gilbert, Arizona to utilize yard waste. The town composted green waste with steer manure and then tested it on flower beds. The plants are now being monitored for growth and weeds. The town has entered an agreement to deliver uncontained waste to a composting site of the load consists of a minimum of 51% or more of yard trimmings or other compostable materials. |
