| Abstract/Contents: | "Thirty-two granular fertilizers/broadleaf weed control products were compared to two sprayed three way combinations containing 2, 4-D, MCPP, and dicamba to assess control of dandelion, common plantain, and white clover in a lawn-type turf that had been maintained under low fertility for several years. Two of the granular formulations were commercially available products while all others were experimental formulations of unknown composition and concentration. None of the experimental fertilizer combinations were as efficacious as the commercial standards and only common plantain was controlled at an acceptable level. The sprayed three way formulations provided complete control of all three target weeds." |
