| Abstract/Contents: | "Agricultural chemicals are an important tool that allows farmers to produce high yields and top quality crops. As regulations of pesticide containers become more stringent, pesticide manufacturers are focusing attention on new formulation and packaging concepts. Attached is a chart showing some of the latest trends in how pesticide manufacturers are changing their product lines in order to deal with recent and/or pending regulations. One of the new technologies that is being promoted, is the use of water in oil emulsions. The advantage of this, is that it eliminates solvents and uses water as a carrier. A recent advancement to eliminate dustiness from granulars is the use of synthetic carriers..." Discusses other new packaging concepts for pesticides. |
