Abstract/Contents: | "Surface drainage is the term applied to the method or methods by which runoff water is handled or disposed of as it flows over the ground plane. The land area within a site's property lines is referred to by civil and hydraulic engineers as that site's watershed. Whenever rain or irrigation water falls onto a watershed, a certain amount of runoff will occur." Offers advice on how to properly control runoff water through drainage. Offers suggestions on drainage structures and equipment, subsurface drainage, and other drainage considerations. |
