| Abstract/Contents: | "Triaform fertiliser technology was developed by O.M. Scotts of Ohio, USA over a four year period and released in Australia during 1993. Triaform does not refer to an individual product but a patented process which produces methylene urea controlled release nitrogen fertilisers that have superior characteristics to the existing High Density process. The methylene urea manufacturing process has been modified to produce a granular fertiliser that provides more efficient nitrogen utilisation, excellent particle breakdown on the turf surface and minimal dust build up on the spreader impellor. . . . testing was conducted by O.M. Scotts internally and through several universities during the development phase of Triaform technology. Its initial usage in Australia indicates that Triaform is well suited to our unique turf surfaces, such as bowling greens." Details the development and manufacturing of Triaform, its environmental advantages, and compares it to other fertilizers. |
