| Abstract/Contents: | A turf parking lot which had been managed intensively, fertilized, mown and watered, was then left untended for 3 years. During this period it was used daily for parking. The species in areas receiving heavy, medium and light wear are listed. It is suggested that a seed mixture containing Lolium perenne, Poa pratensis, P. annua, Festuca rubra ssp., Plantago major, Polygonum aviculare, Bellis perennis, Trifolium repens, Crepis capillaris, Achillea millefolium, Taraxacum officinale and Potentilla reptans could be used to cover a parking lot that would take the wear and tear of cars parked daily throughout the year. |
