Abstract/Contents:"Many of the diminutive flowering trees are not suitable except in parts of southeastern Nebraska, but one notable exception is the ornamental crabapple tree (Malus species). By carefully selecting a planting site, people in any part of the state can enjoy the beauty of this spring-flowering tree." Presents amenity features of crabapple tree. Also discusses the selection of crabapple tree based on its amenity features and its disease resistance in different areas.
