Abstract/Contents:"Glyphosate (Roundup) continues to give excellent control of all established weeds. This herbicide is very effective for use prior to establishing turfgrass if weeds are present...Sodium azide gave promising results as a soil fumigant. Good control of annual weed seeds was obtained with rates of 120 pounds active ingredient per acre...Gibberlic acid at the rate of 10 grams per acre continues to give good growth stimulating effects on bermudagrasses...The herbicide 1-(m-t-butylacetamidophenyl)-3-methyl-3-methoxy urea has given good control of annual grass weeds such as crabgrasses and goose grass in St. Augustine...An experimental formulation of dicamba (Banvel) gave excellent control of creeping beggarweed in St. Augustinegrass."
