| Abstract/Contents: | "The objective of these trials is to evaluate tall fescue selections given a low annual level of N for their performance as lawn turf in different environments. Primary empahsis is on overall turf quality. Genetic color, quality, density and % cover were rated monthly starting in April, 1993...All tall fescue cultivars were rated below the acceptable turf quality level of 7.0. However, many of them were rated high for % cover...During the summer of 1993, summer patch disease became evident at the Southwest Center. None of the cultivars were resistant to patch disease." |
