Abstract/Contents:An evaluation of herbicides for control of broadleaf weeds in Kentucky bluegrass. Herbicides were applied at variant rates in April of 1992 and 1993, and September 1992, and turfgrass was rated from November 1992 through October 1993. "No phyto was observed with any tretment. Control of henbit was excellent in the fall of 92 for all Gallery treatments. Trimec was down some in control since fall applications were applied prior to total henbit emergence. All treaments gave excellent control of henbit and plantain in the spring of 93. Control continues to be excellent for henbit, plantain, and common chickweed in the fall of 93. the fall of 93 evaluations show Trimec with a little henbit and chickweed due to some thin patches of bluegrass within plots. By the fall of 93 most plot are thick, green and high quality stands of bluegrass providing high competition against any winter annuals."
