Abstract/Contents: | Discusses how to determine how much nitrogen is too much for turfgrass. Lists six criteria for making the decision, and justifies each of the criterion. Provides suggestion for for nitrogen application, including considerations for specific situations. "Basically, the old tried-and-true recommendation of 1 pound N per thousand per growing month is soundly based both in terms of turf health and environmental stewardship." |
