Abstract/Contents:Discusses why golf course superintendents should take a proactive stand to battle against misinformaiton on pesticide use on golf courses. Suggests the specific steps for the proactive stand, including informing the community in several forms about the use of chemicals on a golf course, using the media to its full extent to reach the public, getting certified in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary program, keeping educated and updated on the law, and taking an aggressive role in professional organizations.
