Abstract/Contents: | Retells a story of a researcher, who talked to a news reporter about his research program on mole cricket management, which led to a distorted news story and caused damage in many aspects. "The article was printed as a headline-grabbing sensationalized feature. Rather than being an article on science, the article relied exclusively on a tale of impending doom and disaster for Pinehurst." The author concludes that his days of talking to newspapers are over. |
