Abstract/Contents:Describes the symptoms and disease development of St. Augustine decline. The SAD virus is mechanically transmitted by mowing equipment and other tools. Suggests disease control through introducing resistant varieties of St. Augustinegrass in the lawn. "The resistant grass will crowd out the diseased grass over a period of a year and more. There are no chemical controls for St. Augustine decline."
