Abstract/Contents:Author states his opinions on the development and urbanization of North Carolina, leading to his opinions on golf course development and golfers in general. "...a golf course is a gloating monument to mass murder, to a failed dream. Its insipid and overfed participants, simpering in their base proximity to prestige, glide about on little electric cars over the burial grounds of millions of animal skeletons, smiling their approval of the destruction of nature en masse." Author offers other insights on golfers and discusses a concern for the environment.
