| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the test called the Solvita kit, which measures the CO² generated by a given quantity of compost material. The reason for using Solvita was to compare the results it gave to the results that other methods of testing had previously given. The kit proved easy to use, and the same results could be reproduced, and the the results were fairly accurate. There are limitations, however, such as; if a sample is too wet or too dry the test will not give the correct answer and it gives inaccurate readings when the sample is newly mixed. |
