| Abstract/Contents: | Reviews legislative issues that concern golf course maintenance operations. Discusses interpretation of current federal Worker Protection Standards laws and their impact on golf course maintenance on the issue of "Restricted Entry Intervals"; reorganization of the Department of Natural Resources and designating a new "Department of Environmental Quality" to deal with wetland issues, construction permits, and irrigation reporting; update on the irrigation reporting system administered by the Department of Environmental Quality; and a new system for spill reporting. The author interprets regulation 637 definitions about who can apply ready-to-use pesticides and spot treatments which do not require posting. |
