Abstract/Contents: | Talks about the history of golf in New Zealand which was introduced in a city called Dunedin, by Scots in 1871. Golf developed slowly in New Zealand, and it now has one of the highest ratios of courses to players in the world. Golf has grown into a major sport in New Zealand, and the number of professional golfers from New Zealand is growing. Golf in New Zealand is relatively cheap compared to the United States, due to an increase of tourists who want to play golf. The game is steadily increasing in popularity. |
