| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the politics involved in the debate over wetland usage in the United States. In 1972, Clean Water amendments were passed to protect wetlands. Around 150 species of birds and 200 species of fish depend on wetlands to live, but the debate over what constitutes a wetland and whether someone should be allowed to build on one continues. |
