Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program which was developed to protect the natural habitats around golf courses, and to promote wildlife, new fauna, and flora. The process for a golf course to become certified usually takes two to three years, and the membership fee is $100 per year. The program has 82 certified North American golf courses as members, and more than 200 other facilities are currently on their way to certification. |
