| Abstract/Contents: | "Model procurement specifications for six source separated compost products were developed by the Coalition of Northeastern Governors (CONEG) Source Reduction Task Force and published in February, 1996. The six procurement specifications are for general use compost, compost-manufactured loam (topsoil), compost amended loam (topsoil) manufactured inplace, etc..... The task force created the specifications to promote markets for compost products and encourage the development of new composting facilities throughout the Northeast... Field trials will help determine if new compost specifications set by the Coalition of Northeastern Governors will be adopted or revised." |
