Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the difficulties that Homestead Resort owner Bob Kuras has had trying to get permission to build a golf course at his resort. Kuras has been trying to get a permit for eleven years, and still cannot get one, due to the location of his resort. The Homestead is situated in an environmentally sensitive area on the Leelanau Peninsula in between the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the federally protected Crystal River. Kuras is continuing his legal efforts to get a permit to build his course, saying that there is no alternative sight for the course. |
