Abstract/Contents: | Addresses the questions "most frequently asked" concerning irrigation project design and feasibility which are: 1)what kind of maintenance is required with the system? and 2)how does one budget this expense? Focuses on the more hidden costs which go into effect while modernizing an irrigation system. Suggests that one consider the following components of irrigation before setting up a budget or maintenance schedule: 1)water source for one's system and the associated pump station, 2)piping network, 3)sprinkler heads, 4)valves, and 5)controllers. Elaborates on each of the above mentioned components. |
