Abstract/Contents:Discusses an article written in the Wall Street Journal concerning the impact that golf courses have on the environment. Discusses how "virtually every superintendent will agree that the turf management practices used on a golf course need to evolve as our understanding of the environmental impact of fertilizers and pesticides grows. Most golf superintendents are well-educated, skilled agronomists anxious to make their courses environmentally safe for their players, crews, and communities."
