Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the importance of environmentally sound golf course construction in order to preserve natural scenery. Also discusses the history of scenery disturbance and construction, and its magnitude historically, as well as the present. Describes different forms of landscapes and the changes that have been made to them. Also discusses the fact that golf courses are seen as foreign objects in nature, and that golf courses need to be run more in accordance with their natural surroundings. |
