Abstract/Contents: | "Service vendors are a highly visible part of the turfgrass industry; they provide installation and maintenance services to countless homes and business throughout Florida. In late 1994, a study was completed by the authors that examined the economic contribution of the turfgrass industry to Florida's economy. In this study, eight major categories were covered: sod farms, product and equipment manufacturers, wholesale/retail establishments, service vendors, commercial institutions, nonprofit institutions, golf courses, and single family households." Subtopics include; turfgrass area managed, employment, cash expenses, sales of services, and non-land assets owned and purchased. |
