| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the importance of healthy soil. Proper decay is dependent on the balance of soil borne micro-organisms (bacteria, fungi, and actinomycetes). Some elements must pass through the organic decay process to be available to plants, therefore it is desireable to maintain the proper balance of these three families of micro-organisms. "Innoculums are available for the promotion of the health of the soil. However, not all of them are equally successful in the development of adequate levels of humus. Those that appear to be the most successfrl contain multiple populations of bacteria, funge and actinomycetes." |
