Abstract/Contents: | The Greenwich, Connecticut area enacted a noise code limiting use of blowers. A complete ban had been proposed but local landscapers like Joseph Golia fought against the ban and won the right to operate the machines within the acceptable use policy. Time restrictions and limitations on the number of blowers used in a yard are included in the policy. Contractors are willing to work within the guidelines despite the difficulties they create. |
