Abstract/Contents: | "Problems associated with growth depend on the profile of the business. That is, gross sales, target profit margin, business mix, customer mix, number of employees and overhead. For the purpose of identifying growth trends, pro sources were asked to describe their businesses at various sale stages. The stages identified are as follows: 0 to $250,000, $250,000 to $500,000, $500,000 to $1 million, and above 1 million...Below $250,000, too many contractors do not recover their equipment and overhead costs properly." Lists questions and answers regarding hurdles. "Make sure your company is in a good financial position before you get to the $500,000 to $1 million stage. It costs to grow! Watch your profit." |
