Abstract/Contents:"Irrigation management is an art and a science. Too often golf course superintendents settle into routines in managing turf irrigation without regard to plant requirements. It is clear, however, that turf water requirements change with time of year and weather conditions. Furthermore, water need is dependent upon: turfgrass species and cultivars, soil type, microclimates across an individual golf course and cultural practices."
