| Abstract/Contents: | "For twenty-two years the Football Trust has been providing vital support for the game at every level. Its record of success is such that in 1990, following the tragic events for the Hillsborough Stadium disaster, the Trust was charged with the responsibility by Government to help professional clubs meet the cost of implementing the recommendations of the Taylor Report...However, the Trust is much more than Taylor. It provides support for essential safety work at grounds at every level, not just the top of the game, and grand aids football from national stadia to the grass roots on every part of the United Kingdom...Given its proven record and unique position (no other sport has a grant-aid vehicle which has been in existence for over twenty years) the Trust is the ideal body for making the most effective and efficient use of funds made available for the benefit of football at all levels." |
