Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the problems associated with oil leaks from golf course maintenance equipment. Kinds of oil that are most common are; brake fluid, gas, fat, hydraulic oil, and motor oil. The most common effect that oil leaks have on turfgrass is stunted growth, or regrowth of turf. Describes the effects that each oil has on turf, and the signs that oil has been spilled, including odors, and visual signs. Also lists techniques that can prevent major damage to the turf. |
