Abstract/Contents:Describes the turf maintenance program at the Michigan State University football practice fields. Summarizes the history of the fields and the changes in maintenance were demanded when a new football coach called for increased usage of the fields. Between-season renovation of the fields, mowing, fertilization, cultivation, topdressing, pest management, drainage management, and traffic management practices are discussed.
